Compared with the traditional Charpy impact test that meets the GB/T 229 standard, the pendulum impact test machine (metal material instrument impact) is a qualitative leap in the quantitative development direction of material impact testing. The Charpy impact test can only obtain the impact absorption energy Ak of metal materials, while the instrument based impact testing machine can quantitatively obtain the relationship between the impact force and the displacement of the loading point experienced by the material during the impact fracture process, directly reflecting the distribution characteristics of the impact absorption energy throughout the dynamic fracture process of the material. It has clear physical significance and rich mechanical information, and is an important experimental equipment for in-depth research on the dynamic fracture performance of materials.
